Pre & Post Care : Lash Lift & Tint
Pre-Care
To get the full benefit of your Lash Lift & Tint appointment follow these pre-care tips!
Clean Lashes
Come to your appointment with clean lashes free from any mascara and products. It's best to avoid mascara for 24 hrs before your appointment to ensure it is fully clean. The cleaner the lashes, the better the lash lift will work and the deeper the tint will set.
Contacts
Please come without your contacts in. Tint can at times go into the eyes if the eyes water, and can go under contacts. If it gets under your contacts it can cause some irritation.
Waterproof Mascara
Please stop using waterproof mascara 3 days before your appointment. It is extremely hard to get lashes cleaned from waterproof mascara, and it is difficult for the products to break through if any of the mascara is left over.
Post-Care
To get the full benefit of your Lash Lift & Tint appointment follow these post-care tips!
When to Rebook
Re-book your lash lift every 6–8 weeks for the best results, and to maintain the lift. You can also book in your lash tint between lifts as the tint fades sooner than the lift if needed.
Brushing Lashes
In the morning, use your spoolie to brush your lashes in place. If you are a side or face sleeper, you may notice your lashes move or twist. You can also use a damp cloth or cotton pad to wipe your lashes before brushing them into place.
Cleaning Lashes
For the first 24 hrs, avoid water, steam, cleansers, and heat near or on your lashes. This can change the physical bonds of the lashes.
Touching Lashes
The more you touch, rub, or sleep on your lashes the higher chance you have of the tint coming out, as well as lashes losing their lift sooner and/or lashes coming out sooner.
Products
Avoid oil-based products as they will pull the colour out of the lashes sooner. Also, avoid using mascara, especially waterproof mascara. The more the lashes are touched and manipulated between lifts, the higher chances the lift won't stay as long.
Lash Curler
Do not use a lash curler after a lift or between your lifts. Curlers can cause damage and breakage to lashes. With a lash lift, your lashes are more vulnerable to damage caused by lash curlers.
